WSCA Supports Clean Sport: Endorses World Aquatics’ Decision on Enhanced Games
The World Swimming Coaches Association fully endorses the decision made by World Aquatics this week regarding the Enhanced Games and those who openly support the use of performance-enhancing drugs with athletes in their care. The WSCA fully aligns with the statement issued by our colleagues at the International Swimming Coaches Association and wholeheartedly believes in a future for our sport where integrity and welfare are at the heart of all decisions and actions taken within all leadership aspects of our sport.
The World Swimming Coaches Association will continue to support coaches who believe in and work towards a clean and equitable sport - those who strive for personal excellence without utilizing substances that compromise these values and put athletes' health at risk. World Aquatics has made its position very clear this week, and it is one to be celebrated and supported.
We encourage all other world governing bodies across all sports to both consider and replicate this as a sign of solidarity across the sporting world.
